Topographic Maps

I started exploring the 1:2500,000 scale map in NAMRIA website. The site contains a treasure trove of information on an area. The maps are old, but some information is still relevant.

The 1:250,000 scale map is divided into smaller tiles at a scale of 1:50,000. Clicking each tile was frustrating due to the low resolution, so I decided to let a Python script do it for me. I used it to download all the 1:50,000 resolution maps.

This is a subset showing the area of Dapa in Siargao. The small island on the left is the famous Dako Island. Compare it with the image below.
